Seal the Deal: How to Get Great Job References and Recommendations

A major factor in getting a job offer is the reference check. Having great references can go a long way in helping you stand out and “seal the deal” with a new employer. But waiting until the last minute to find references, not knowing what your references are saying about you, and leaving this key component of the job search to chance can sink your prospects.

In this webinar, learn how to:

  • secure strong references and recommendations
  • determine who makes a good reference or recommender
  • approach potential references
  • coach your references and recommenders so that their feedback can help you.

The webinar, sponsored by Association CareerHQ and led by certified career coach Phaedra Brotheron, will also offer tips to help you get good LinkedIn recommendations—and mitigate potentially bad ones—to ensure that your third-party endorsements support your candidacy and goals in the best possible way.
